- Turn on ignition and A/C switch to engage compressor clutch, then remove center bolt securing clutch assembly to compressor.
- Turn off ignition, disconnect battery ground cable and recover A/C system.
- Rotate belt tensioner using open end wrench until 10 mm hex key can be inserted into socket head bolt, then remove belt tensioner.
- Thread 5/8X18 UNF bolt into compressor clutch, tighten bolt and remove clutch assembly. If compressor belt is to be replaced, remove alternator and water pump pulleys.

- Disconnect control cables, electrical connector and vacuum hoses from control assembly as equipped. Mark installation position of cables and hoses to aid installation.
