Refer to Fig. . when replacing the water pump.
- Drain coolant, then disconnect lower radiator hose from water inlet pipe.
- Disconnect timing belt from water pump pulley. Refer to "MOTOR's Imported Car Repair Manual" for procedure.
- Remove water inlet pipe, then the water inlet and thermostat.
- Remove water pump.
- Reverse procedure to install.

Refer to Fig. , when replacing the water pump.
- Drain coolant.
- Remove water pump pulley and radiator.

- Disconnect service connector from ABS actuator, Fig. .
- Using diagnostic check wiring tool No. 09843-18020 or equivalent, connect terminals Tc and E1 of the Total Diagnostic Communication Link (TDCL).
