- Prepare system for remaining checks as follows:
- Turn ignition switch to Off position.
- Depress parking brake pedal.
- Connect diagnosis check wiring tool No. 09843-18020 or equivalent, to terminals Ts and E1, Tc and E1 of check connector, Fig. .
- Do not depress brake pedal.
- Block wheels and start engine.
- Ensure the warning light changes from flashing to lighting up for one second, then to flashing again when the following operations are performed:

- Release parking brake, then depress parking brake again.

For the following procedure, refer to Figs. and .
- On ES 250 models, remove charcoal canister.
- On LS 400 models with TRAC, remove TRAC assembly. Refer to "TRAC Actuator, Replace."
- On all models, disconnect level warning switch connector.
- Draw fluid out of reservoir with syringe.
- Remove brake lines from master cylinder.
- Remove three nuts, then the master cylinder and gasket from brake booster.
Disassembly
For the following procedure, refer to Figs. and for assistance.

DISC BRAKES -> Front Disc Brakes -> CALIPER OVERHAUL -> ASSEMBLY -> DISASSEMBLY

DISASSEMBLY
- Remove calipers as previously described.
- On ES 250 models, remove two sliding bushings and four dust boots.
- On all models, remove cylinder boot set rings and cylinder boots.
- Place a piece of cloth between piston and caliper, then using compressed air remove pistons from cylinder.
- Remove piston seals.
- On Except ES 250 models, remove sliding pins from torque plate. Using a chisel and hammer, tap out dust boots.
ASSEMBLY

- If pedal height is not 6.988-7.382 inch on ES 250, 5.81-6.20 on ES 300, 5.92-6.31 inch on SC 300 and SC 400 or 5.62-6.02 inch on LS 400 models, adjust pedal height as follows:
