On-Vehicle Inspection
- Standard amperage is 6.0-7.4A. With coolant temperature below 88°C (190°F), turn ignition On and ensure fan stops. If not, inspect the following:
- Fan relay.
- Temperature switch.
- Bad connection or open between fan relay and temperature switch.
- Disconnect temperature switch connector, ensure fan rotates. If not, inspect the following:
- Fan main relay.
- Cooling fan relay.
- Ignition relay and fuse...

- Drain coolant from engine and radiator, then disconnect heater hoses from heater core inlet and outlet.
- Remove two retaining clips and heater protector, Fig. .
- Remove three screws and three retaining clamps, Fig. .
- Pull heater core from case.
- Reverse procedure to install.
GS 300
- Remove heater unit as outlined under "Heater Unit, Replace."
- Remove air outlet control servo motor, Fig. .
- Remove heater duct, then air mix link cover.
- Remove air max cool control servo motor, then air mix control servo motor...
