- Extract brake fluid, then disconnect electrical connection for brake level warning system. Remove strainer from reservoir when extracting brake fluid.
- Disconnect brake lines from master cylinder.

Propeller shaft work must be performed with vehicle on a suitable dual support hoist. Models equipped with an air bag system have a front propeller shaft section made of carbon fiber. This propeller shaft has variations in diameter which make installation and adjustment procedures different from that of previous propeller shafts.
- Raise and support vehicle, then remove catalytic converter and exhaust pipe.
