- Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel assemblies.
- If brake pads are to be reused, mark installed positions for installation reference. Inner pads are different from side to side and have a specified direction of rotation.
- Use a suitable screwdriver to pry brake pad retaining spring out of caliper housing, Fig. .
- Remove guide pin caps, then the guide pins.
- Remove brake caliper housing from carrier. Secure brake caliper housing to vehicle with a suitable piece of wire. Do not allow brake caliper to hang from hydraulic lines. Do Not disconnect hydraulic lines.
