Accessing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
- Turn ignition switch to On position.
- Disconnect short pin from DLC1, Fig. , then connect diagnosis check wire tool No. 09843-18020, or equivalent, to terminals Tc and E1 of Del or DLC2.
- Read diagnostic trouble code from ABS warning light on combination meter. If no diagnostic trouble code appears, inspect diagnostic circuit or ABS warning circuit.
- After completing check, disconnect terminals Te and E1 and turn off display. If more than one diagnostic trouble code is stored, lowest number will appear first.

Master Cylinder
- Fill reservoir with fluid.
- Disconnect tubes from master cylinder. Then slowly depress brake pedal and hold.
- Block off outlet holes with fingers and release pedal. Repeat three or four times.
Brake Lines
Bleed wheel with longest brake line first, then work back to the master cylinder according to brake line length.
- Connect tube to brake cylinder.
- Depress pedal several times and hold, then loosen bleeder plug with pedal still held down.
- When fluid stops coming out, tighten bleeder plug and release pedal. Repeat several times.
