- Drain coolant from engine and radiator, then disconnect heater hoses from heater core inlet and outlet.
- Remove A/C unit, refer to "A/C Unit, Replace."
- Remove two retaining clips and heater protector, Fig. .
- Remove three screws and three retaining clamps, Fig. .
- Pull heater core from case, Fig. .

- Remove air cleaner assembly, tag all hoses for installation reference.
- Disconnect heater hose, hydraulic motor hose.
- Disconnect engine electrical wire from water inlet, then disconnect engine coolant temperature sensor electrical connection.
- Disconnect water inlet hose from water inlet and cylinder head.
