Import Compressor Service -> Nippondenso Compressor -> Compressor Clutch, Replace

- Remove shaft nut or bolt, Fig. , with aid of spanner wrench.
- Remove pressure plate using pressure plate remover.
- Remove shims from shaft.
- Remove rotor (pulley) retaining snap ring using suitable snap ring pliers.
- Remove rotor (pulley) by gently tapping it with plastic hammer. Some compressors may require a jaw puller.
- Disconnect stator lead wires from compressor housing.
- Remove stator retaining snap ring using suitable snap ring pliers, then remove stator from compressor housing.

- Drain engine coolant, then recover refrigerant as outlined under .
- Disconnect water valve control cable from water valve, then disconnect water hoses from heater core pipes.
- Remove instrument panel as outlined under "Instrument Panel, Replace."
- Remove blower unit.
- Disconnect and cap liquid line and suction line from block joint.
- Remove rear air ducts and heater protector.
- Disconnect heater unit electrical connectors, then remove heater unit attaching nuts...
