- Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel.
- Remove lower guide pin and pivot caliper assembly up and support using suitable wire.
- Remove brake pads, pad clips and outer shim, Fig. .
- Measure rotating torque of hub with brake pads removed using a suitable spring scale, Fig. .
- Clean piston surface and push into caliper using suitable tool. Ensure piston boot does not become wedged.
- Install pad clips and pads onto caliper.
- Lower caliper assembly and install lower guide pin.
- Inspect brake drag as follows:
