Parking Brake
- Pull parking brake lever with a force of approximately 45 lbs. and count number of clicks. Lever stroke should be three to five clicks.
- If parking brake lever stroke is not within specifications, proceed as follows:
- Remove cup holder and plug then loosen the adjusting nut on parking brake cable end so cable becomes free.

Replacement
- Disconnect and plug brake hose.
- Remove upper and lower caliper mounting bolts.
- Remove caliper assembly; then, if required, separate from brake pads as outlined under "Brake Pad Service."
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Measure brake drag torque as outlined under "Brake Pad Service."
- Tighten brake hose fitting to specifications.
- Bleed brake system as outlined under "Brake System Bleed."
