- Remove glove compartment.
- Remove No. 2 instrument undercover.
- Remove ECM and ECU with bracket.
- Remove blower unit.
- Recover refrigerant as outlined under .
- Disconnect liquid tube and suction tube.
- Remove thermistor from evaporator.
- Remove evaporator cover.
- Pull out evaporator.
- Reverse procedure to install, then recover and recharge system and check for leaks. If evaporator is replaced, add 1.4 oz. of new refrigerant oil to compressor.

- Remove front wheel and drive shaft locknut.
- Remove ABS speed sensor and wire harness from steering knuckle.
- Loosen lower shock absorber nuts.
- Remove tie rod end cotter pin.
- Disconnect lower ball joint from lower arm using tie rod end remover tool No. 09610-20012, or equivalent.
- Remove steering knuckle with hub.
- Reverse procedure to install.
- Remove front wheel and drive shaft locknut, Fig. .
