ES 300
- Drain engine coolant.
- Remove No. 1 lower panel, then the lower lefthand panel.
- Release three claws, then remove heater protector.
- Remove fasteners, then disconnect heater core pipes from heater core.
- Pull out heater core.
- Reverse procedure to install.
GS 300 & GS 400
- Remove A/C unit, refer to "A/C Unit Replace."
- Remove screw, then clamp and pull out heater core.

- Remove blower unit, refer to "Blower Motor, Replace."
- Disconnect A/C liquid and suction hoses from A/C unit. Cap hoses to prevent contamination.
- Disconnect electrical connectors, then remove screws and pull out evaporator temperature sensor.
- Remove screws, then cover and pull out evaporator.
- Reverse procedure to install.

- On RX 300 models, remove outer cowl top panel, then the front upper suspension brace.
- On all models, disconnect timing belt from water pump pulley. Refer to "MOTOR's Imported Car Repair Manual" for procedure.
- Remove camshaft timing pulleys using tool No. SST 09960-01000, or equivalent.
- Remove No. 2 idler pulley.
- Disconnect engine wire from No. 3 timing belt cover, then remove cover.
