DRIVELINE, U-JOINT & CV AXLES REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR 2000 Nissan Sentra AUTOMOBILES
Includes CV axle, universal joint, and driveline replacement, for domestic and imported 2000 Nissan Sentra cars and light trucks from 1990+.
CV AXLE SHAFT, Replace -> Front
Vehicle: 2000 Nissan Sentra 2.0 L4 GAS
Front
- Raise and support vehicle and support it with safety stands in proper locations.
- Remove wheel nuts and front wheels.
- Remove wheel bearing locknut. Suspend knuckle with mechanics wire to avoid stretching caliper brake hose. Do not pull or twist brake hose. Tie rod does not need to be disconnected from knuckle.
- Remove clip and separate brake hose from strut.
- Remove strut lower mounting bolts.
- Remove cotter pin and nut securing lower ball joint to knuckle.
- Strike knuckle with a soft hammer and pull down control arm to separate lower ball joint from knuckle.
