- Remove wheel nuts and front wheels.
- Remove wheel bearing locknut. Suspend knuckle with mechanics wire to avoid stretching caliper brake hose. Do not pull or twist brake hose. Tie rod does not need to be disconnected from knuckle.
- Remove clip and separate brake hose from strut.
- Remove strut lower mounting bolts.
- Remove cotter pin and nut securing lower ball joint to knuckle.
- Strike knuckle with a soft hammer and pull down control arm to separate lower ball joint from knuckle.
