Fuel System Pressure Relief
- On all models except 1990-96 300ZX, remove the fuel pump fuse from the fuse panel.
- On 1990-96 300ZX, disconnect the fuel pump relay, located behind the lefthand side kick panel.
- On all models, start and run the engine until it stalls.
- After the engine stalls, crank two or three times to ensure all fuel pressure is relieved.
- On all models except 1990-96 300ZX, turn the ignition Off, then install the fuel pump fuse.
- On 1990-96 300ZX, turn the ignition Off, then connect the fuel pump relay.

- Remove wheel bearing lock nut. Tie rod does not need to be disconnected from steering knuckle. Suspend steering knuckle with wire so as not to stretch brake hose. Do not pull or twist brake hose.
- Remove clip and separate brake hose from strut.
- Remove strut lower mounting bolts.
- Separate drive shaft from steering knuckle by lightly tapping it. If it is hard to remove, use a puller. When removing drive shaft, cover boots with shop towel to prevent damage to them.
