- Drain cooling system into suitable container.
- Remove intake plenum air inlet hose clamps and hoses from throttle body.
- Remove brake booster vacuum fitting from intake plenum.
- Remove wiring harness channel bolts and position channel out of way.
- Disconnect electrical connector and vacuum hose from switchover valve on back of the plenum.
- Disconnect throttle body control electrical connector and remove throttle body bolts.
- Remove throttle body from plenum.

Replacement
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Mark relationship of wheel to axle flange, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
- Remove brake hose from caliper, Fig. . Plug openings in caliper and brake hose to prevent fluid loss and contamination.
- Lift up on end of cable spring to free end of cable from lever, then disconnect parking brake cable from lever.
- Remove bolt and washer attaching cable support bracket to caliper body assembly.
- Remove sleeve bolt and caliper body assembly.
- Reverse procedure to install, then bleed brakes.
Disassemble
- Remove caliper from vehicle as outlined under "Caliper S... "

- Raise vehicle and suitably support.
- Remove wheel and tire.
- Loosen or remove stabilizer shaft link assembly bolt as needed.
- Remove ball joint cotter pin and nut. Do not attempt to free ball stud by using a pickle fork or wedge type tool, because seal or bushing damage could result. Use the proper tool to separate all ball joints.
- With the pry bar between suspension support and lower control arm, separate joint.
- Remove hub nut. Insert a drift or screwdriver into caliper and rotor to prevent rotor from turning.
