Engine Coolant
Before adding or replacing engine coolant, ensure product compatibility with the system being serviced. If using orange silicate-free coolant, do not mix with green silicated coolant. If mixed, premature engine, heater core or radiator corrosion may result.

- Ensure ignition is in Lock position.
- Ensure nobody is inside vehicle.
- Connect battery ground cable.
- From a safe position to the side of any air bag module, turn ignition On and ensure Air Bag warning lamp lights for approximately four seconds, then goes out.
- If Air Bag lamp stays lit after four seconds, an SIR fault condition has been stored in system memory.
- Reset radio station settings and clock.

R-134a systems require the use of special service equipment designed specifically for R-134a systems. R-12 servicing equipment cannot be used on R-134a systems.
R-12 recovery stations cannot be used on R-134a systems. A separate recovery station must be used on R-134a systems. The refrigerants are not compatible and will contaminate the R-12 recovery station.
