- Drain coolant into suitable container, to a level below thermostat.
- Remove air cleaner assembly.
- Disconnect ground lead from coolant outlet.
- Remove bolt/stud and bolt on coolant outlet.
- Remove coolant outlet.
- Remove thermostat.
- Reverse procedure to install.

- Remove air cleaner and duct assembly.
- Drain cooling system into suitable container until level is below thermostat.

- Recover refrigerant as outlined under .
- Reposition heater hoses for clearance.
- Disconnect vacuum hose from brake booster and reposition.
- Disconnect evaporator outlet tube from TXV.
- Disconnect evaporator outlet tube from evaporator inlet tube.
- Remove and discard sealing washers.
- Cap or tape open A/C refrigerant tubes immediately to prevent contamination of refrigerant system.
- Remove TXV from evaporator core.
- Remove and discard sealing washers. Cap or tape off evaporator core.
- Reverse procedure...
