Under normal operating conditions the cabin air filter should be replaced every 15,000 miles. In dusty areas change the cabin air filter more often.
- Place the ignition switch in the Off position, then remove the SIR (Supplemental Inflatable Restraint) fuse from the rear fuse panel. On 1997 models, the rear fuse panel is located in the luggage compartment. On 1998-2004 models, the rear fuse panel is located under the rear seat.
- On all models, remove the two retaining screws from the rear edge of the lefthand sound insulator.
- Push in on the snap tabs to release the insulator.
