Component Replacement
ABS Actuator
IS300
- Remove air cleaner and air cleaner inlet.
- Disconnect six brake lines from actuator.
- Disconnect two brake hoses and two electrical connectors, Fig. .
- Remove nut and two bolts, then the ABS & TRAC actuator.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- After installation, fill brake reservoir with brake fluid and bleed brake system.
- Inspect brake system for leaks.

Master Cylinder
- On 2001-02 ES300 models, remove air cleaner cover with air cleaner hose.
- On all models, disconnect level warning switch connector.
- Remove brake fluid with suitable syringe.
- Remove brake lines with brake line wrench No. 09023-00100 and 09751-36011, or equivalents.
- Remove master cylinder mounting nuts, then the master cylinder and gasket.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
