- Open air bleed valve on thermostat housing.
- If coolant system has been flushed, first add 100 percent ethylene glycol to system.
- Slowly add clean water to system until level of coolant mixture has reached base of radiator neck.
- Wait for two minutes and recheck level of coolant mixture, add clean water if necessary to restore coolant mixture level to base of radiator neck.

- Remove clutch plate and hub assembly as outlined under "Clutch Plate & Hub Assembly, Replace."
- Remove rotor and bearing snap ring, then mount puller guide tool No. J-33023, or equivalent, over compressor shaft.
- Install puller tool No. J-33020, or equivalent, onto rotor, turning puller body clockwise to engage tangs on puller with inner circle of slots in rotor.

- Remove windshield side upper garnish moldings by pulling door weatherstrip from pinchweld flange to expose windshield garnish molding. Pull garnish molding to disconnect two clips.
- Lift upper trim panel up approximately two inches and pull rearward to release retainers.
- Remove ambient light sensor by rotating quarter turn counterclockwise.
- Remove sun load sensor by rotating quarter turn counterclockwise, as required.
- Remove upper trim panel. Remove upper trim panel slowly. Retainer clips can fall into instrument panel.
