- With coolant temperature below 83°C (181°F), turn ignition On and ensure fan stops. If fan does not stop, proceed to next step. If fan stops, inspect cooling fan.
- Inspect fan relays.
- Disconnect No. 1 Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) switch connector.
- Connect terminals of No. 1 ECT switch connector using a suitable jumper wire. If fan rotates at high speed, proceed to next step. If fan does not rotate, inspect cooling fan main...

- Recover refrigerant as outlined in .
- Remove instrument panel as outlined in "Instrument Panel, Replace."
- Remove blower unit.
- Disconnect A/C liquid and suction hoses from A/C unit. Cap hoses to prevent contamination.
- Disconnect electrical connectors, then remove screws and pull out evaporator temperature sensor.
- Remove screws, then cover and pull out evaporator.
- Reverse procedure to install.
