DRIVESHAFT, Replace -> Front -> Rear
Vehicle: 2003 Lexus SC430 4.3 V8 GAS
Front
- Raise vehicle off ground and support it with safety stands in proper locations.
- Remove bolts securing rear engine undercover.
- Make a reference mark across driveline and differential companion flange.
- Remove bolts, washer, and nuts from companion flange.
- Make a reference mark on driveline shaft flange and transfer flange.
- Remove nuts and washers and front driveline shaft assembly.
- Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
- Torque driveline to differential companion flange mounting bolts to 59 ft. lbs.

Front
- Raise and support vehicle and support it with safety stands in proper locations.
- Remove wheel nuts and front wheels.
- Remove bolts and remove disc brake cylinder from steering knuckle.
- Support brake caliper assembly with mechanics wire.
- Remove front disc brake rotor.
- Remove lefthand front hub bolt using suitable tool.
- Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
- Torque disc brake caliper bolts to 76 ft. lbs.
- Torque wheel lug nuts to 76 ft. lbs.
