- Loosen mounting bolts, then disconnect and position compressor manifold and tube assembly aside.

- Inspect stator by setting ohmmeter to X1000 ohm range and verify that there is continuity between stator connector and A/C compressor body.

- Remove pressure plate and shims.
- Install snap ring pliers or equivalent, remove snap ring.
