- With coolant temperature below 83°C (181°F), turn ignition On and ensure fan stops. If fan does not stop, proceed to next step. If fan stops, inspect cooling fan.
- Inspect fan relays.
- Disconnect No. 1 Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) switch connector.
- Connect terminals of No. 1 ECT switch connector using a suitable jumper wire. If fan rotates at high speed, proceed to next step. If fan does not rotate, inspect cooling fan main...

- Disengage instrument panel under cover sub-assy No. 1 retaining clips, then disconnect electrical connector.
- Pull instrument panel under cover sub-assy No. 1 from under righthand side of instrument panel.
- Remove instrument panel sub-assy lower attaching screws and bolts, then the sub-assy lower from under righthand side of instrument panel.
- Disconnect blower motor electrical connectors.
