- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Remove rear engine cover.
- Disconnect vacuum line at air filter housing.
- Disconnect electrical harness connector at mass air flow (MAF) Sensor.
- Open hose clamps and remove air guide hose from air filter housing.
- Attach a suitable engine lift shackle to right rear engine lifting eyelet.
- Pull off sealing rubber at bolted flanges of fender.
- Support the engine with a suitable support bridge attached to rear engine lifting eyelet. To avoid damage to fender edges when using engine support bridge, insert pads for front fenders on both sides between fender bolt...

- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Remove engine cover.
- Before removing drive belt, mark direction of rotation. Belt damage will result if not reinstalled in proper direction.
- Relieve drive belt tension by turning tensioner clockwise, using a suitable tool.
- Remove drive belt from alternator pulley.
- Release tensioner.

- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Drain engine coolant into a suitable container.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Loosen fasteners and remove noise insulation.
- Remove front wheels.
- Remove left and right front wheel housings.
- Remove front bumper cover.
- Bring lock carrier into service position:
- Remove left and right headlights.
- Unscrew bolts on lower left and right lock carrier.
- Remove hood seal on both fenders.
- Unscrew screws on upper left and right lock carrier
- Screw in suitable guide bolts into threaded holes.
