DRIVELINE, U-JOINT & CV AXLES REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR 2005 Buick Lesabre AUTOMOBILES
Includes CV axle, universal joint, and driveline replacement, for domestic and imported 2005 Buick Lesabre cars and light trucks from 1990+.
CV AXLE SHAFT, Replace
Vehicle: 2005 Buick Lesabre Limited 3.8 V6 GAS
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove tire and wheel assembly.
- Disconnect outer tie rod end from steering knuckle.
- Insert a drift or punch into brake rotor and against brake caliper in order to prevent wheel hub and bearing from turning.
- Remove and discard wheel drive shaft spindle nut that retains wheel drive shaft to hub.
- Remove stabilizer shaft link.
- Disconnect electrical connector from wheel speed sensor and reposition wiring harness away from ball joint.
- Disconnect lower ball joint from steering knuckle.
- Install wheel hub remover tool No. J 42129 or equivalent onto wheel hub and...
