- Remove brake fluid reservoir, Figs. through .
- Remove set screw, then the reservoir tank.
- Remove cap and strainer from reservoir.
- Remove two grommets, then place cylinder in suitable vise.
- On models less TRAC and VSC, push piston in and remove stopper bolt.
- On models with TRAC, push pistons in and remove No. 1, then No. 2 stopper bolts.
- On models with VSC, push in piston with a screwdriver, then remove straight pin by turning over cylinder body. Tape screwdriver tip before using it.

- Remove wheel nuts and front wheels.
- Remove bolt and disconnect flexible hose from steering knuckle.
- Remove bolts, washers and brake cylinder.
- Support caliper by using mechanics wire.
- Remove grease cap from flange using suitable tool.
- Remove snap ring using suitable tool.
- Remove bolts and disconnect ABS speed sensor and wire harness.
- Remove bolts and disconnect steering knuckle arm. Clean threads of two bolts and steering knuckle with approved cleaner. Apply sealant to threads of the bolts.
