- Raise and support vehicle and support it with safety stands in proper locations.
- Remove wheel nuts and front wheels.
- Remove split pin and driveshaft castle nut and washer from front hub.
- Remove ball joint assembly mounting bolt from steering knuckle.
- Disconnect driveshaft from axle hub using plastic hammer.
- Remove bolts securing heat protector.
- Remove bearing and bracket assembly.
- Push front hub assembly outward and separate driveshaft from hub assembly.

- Loosen the wheel lug nuts.
- Raise and support the vehicle with jack stands.
- Remove tire and wheel assembly from vehicle.
- Deflate air from tire assembly, then remove wheel weights.
- Break tire bead 180° from valve stem. When removing tire from rim caution should be taken not to hit valve stem with tire tools.
