Vehicle: 2006 Lexus IS350 3.5 V6 GAS

Disconnect battery ground cable.
Remove clips securing cool air intake duct seal.
Remove clips securing v-bank cover.
Raise vehicle on suitable lift.
Remove clips securing lefthand engine side cover.
Remove bolts and clamp air cleaner inlet assembly.
Remove air cleaner cap subassembly.
Remove bolts securing air cleaner case subassembly.
Rotate or lift belt tensioner arm counterclockwise using a suitable tool to relieve tension from drive belt.
Remove drive belt.

STARTER & ALTERNATOR REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR 2006 Lexus IS350 AUTOMOBILES

Vehicle: 2006 Lexus IS350 3.5 V6 GAS

Disconnect battery ground cable.
Raise vehicle on suitable lift.
Remove clips securing cool air intake duct seal.
Remove clips from engine cover then remove cover.
Remove bolts securing front floor brace then remove brace.
Disconnect heated oxygen sensor connector.
Remove bolts and exhaust pipe support bracket subassembly from automatic transaxle assembly.
Remove bolts from ground cable and remove cable.
Remove bolt and engine wiring bracket.
Remove bolt and nut and position engine relay block away to gain access to removing starter motor.
