- Disconnect both battery cables.
- Remove nuts securing battery hold-down bracket and remove battery from vehicle.
- Disconnect VSV connector.
- Remove wiring harness clamps.
- Remove vacuum hoses from hose clamp.
- Remove bolts, clamps securing air cleaner inlet assembly.
- Disconnect MAF sensor connector.
- Disconnect vacuum hoses.
- Loosen bolts securing air cleaner cap subassembly.
- Loosen air cleaner hose from wiring harness clamps.
- Remove air cleaner element.
- Remove wiring harness clamps.
- Disconnect vacuum hose.
- Remove bolts from air cleaner case subassembly.
- Remove bolts from air cleaner bracket...

- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Disconnect electrical connector from alternator assembly.
- Remove alternator B+ terminal nut.
- Loosen upper and lower alternator mounting bolts.
- Loosen adjusting bolt to release tension on drive belt.
- Remove drive belt.
