- Remove hose from module.
- Reposition heater hose inlet clamp at heater core.
- Remove heater inlet hose from heater core.
- Remove hose from vehicle.
- Reverse procedure to install.
Outlet
- Drain cooling system into a suitable container.
- Reposition heater hose outlet clamp at heater core.
- Disconnect heater outlet hose from heater core.
- Reposition heater core outlet hose clamp at module.
- Remove hose from module.

Vehicle: 2006 Pontiac Montana SV6 3.5 V6 GAS
- Drain engine coolant into a suitable container.
- Disconnect and plug lower transmission oil cooler line from radiator.
- Remove air cleaner and duct assembly.
- Remove right side diagonal brace, then the radiator inlet hose.
- Disconnect cooling fan harness electrical connector.
- Loosen engine mount strut nuts from engine side of strut.
- Remove engine mount strut bracket brace bolts from upper radiator support, then rotate struts and brackets rearward.

- Disconnect cooling fan harness electrical connector.
