- Raise vehicle off ground and support it with safety stands in proper locations.
- Remove bolts and nuts securing front exhaust pipe assembly.
- Remove front floor heat insulator.
- Remove four nuts, grommets and front floor heat insulator.
- Remove nuts from righthand air guide plate.
- Make a reference mark across driveline and differential companion flange.
- Remove bolts, washer, and nuts from companion flange.

- Raise and support vehicle and support it with safety stands in proper locations.
- Remove wheel nuts and rear wheels.
- Separate rear stabilizer link assembly.
- Remove bolts from suspension member brace.
- Remove bolts and separate parking brake cable.
- Release staked part of axle shaft nut using suitable tool.Release staked part of nut completely or threads of driveshaft may be damaged.
- Apply brake pedal and remove axle shaft nut.
- Remove bolts and separate speed sensor from axle carrier. Use care not to damage speed sensor and prevent foreign matter from adhering to speed sensor.
