- Disconnect cable from negative battery terminal. Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting cable from negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation. After engine switch is turned off, HDD navigation system requires approximately six minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning engine switch off, wait six minutes or more before disconnecting cable from negative (-) battery terminal.
