CV AXLE SHAFT, Replace -> Front -> Rear
Vehicle: 2008 Audi R8 4.2 V8 GAS

Front

Remove wheel trim. Detach trim cap for light-alloy wheels using puller in vehicle tool kit.
Loosen driveshaft collar bolt only 90°, so as to not damage wheel bearing. Vehicle must be standing on its wheels when loosening and tightening collar bolt to reduce risk of accident.
Remove wheel and tire assembly.
Screw in all five wheel bolts hand-tight.
With an assistant applying the brakes, remove driveshaft collar bolt from the driveshaft. If collar bolt is loose or has been removed, wheel bearings must not be loaded. If wheel bearings are loaded with weight of vehicle, whee...

DRIVELINE, U-JOINT & CV AXLES REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR 2008 Audi R8 AUTOMOBILES

DRIVESHAFT, Replace
Vehicle: 2008 Audi R8 4.2 V8 GAS

Raise and support vehicle.
Disconnect both tunnel struts.
Remove rear section of exhaust system at exhaust pipe clamp(s).
Unbolt heat shield for center bearing.
Remove bolts and take off cover.
Remove nuts securing front mufflers and tie up or support front mufflers. Avoid excessive bending of flexible pipe connection (decoupling element) on front exhaust pipe. Angle between front muffler and front exhaust pipe must not exceed 10° or flexible connection will be damaged.
Remove bolts and remove heat shield from transmission.
Check whether there is a factory marking (paint) on drives...
