If replacing the TPMS ECU, prior to removal, use a suitably programmed scan tool to read the registered transmitter identification number for all wheels and note them for registration.
- Connect a suitably programmed scan tool to DLC3 located under the LH side of the instrument panel.
- Using the scan tool, note the registered transmitter IDs that are stored in the old TPMS ECU.
- If reading the stored transmitter IDs from the old TPMS ECU is not possible, the tires will need to be removed from the wheels to read and note the tire pressure sensor transmitter IDs.

- Disconnect battery ground cable. After removing battery ground cable wait 90 seconds to prevent air bag and seat belt pretensioner activation. After engine switch is turned off, HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting cable from battery ground.

The Low Tire Pressure indicator lamp will flash slowly and/or sound a chime when tire pressure is low. When the tire is inflated to the proper pressure the lamp and tone will turn Off.
