Vehicle: 2008 MERCEDES-BENZ CLK63 AMG Black Series 6.3 V8 GAS
- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Remove engine air intake ducts from air filter housing.
- Remove front engine cover.
- Install a suitable engine support.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove fasteners and sound insulator panels.
- Disconnect right HO2S electrical connectors.
- Remove bolts and disconnect right catalytic converter from exhaust manifold.
- Remove bolts and converter bracket at transmission.
- Support right catalytic converter.
- Disconnect right catalytic converter at exhaust pipe clamp and flange, then remove it.
- Remove heat shield for right knock sensor, if required.

- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Remove engine air intake ducts from air filter housing.
- Remove front engine cover.
- Disconnect electrical connector from cooling fan and A/C integrated control.
- Disconnect electrical connectors and remove horns.
- Remove bolts for steering oil cooler, then move cooler aside.
- Remove power steering line from front end reinforcement.
- Remove bolt from filler neck on washer reservoir.
- Remove front end reinforcement from front cross member.
- Remove front end reinforcement bolts from left and right frame rails.
- Disconnect hood release cable.
