- Remove plastic connector between rear of bottom section of soundproofing and engine crossmember, if equipped.
- Remove plastic transfer case shield, if equipped.
- Remove diagonal strut from righthand side of engine crossmember.
- Remove cross strut from lefthand side of rear engine crossmember.
- Support rear engine crossmember and detach from underfloor.
- Slightly lower transfer case.
- Mark front propeller shaft at transfer case and front axle flange for alignment during installation.
