Includes CV axle, universal joint, and driveline replacement, for domestic and imported 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser cars and light trucks from 1990+.

CV AXLE SHAFT, Replace
Vehicle: 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser 5.7 V8 GAS

  • Remove front wheel and drive shaft locknut.
  • Remove bolts, then the brake caliper and disc. Support brake caliper securely.
  • Remove bolt and disconnect flexible hose from steering knuckle.
  • Remove bolts, washers and brake cylinder.
  • Support brake cylinder securely.
  • Remove grease cap from flange.
  • Remove snap ring using suitable tool.
  • Remove ABS speed sensor and wire harness from steering knuckle.
  • Remove bolts and disconnect steering knuckle arm. Upon installation clean threads of two bolts and steering knuckle with suitable cleaner. Apply approved sealant to threads of two bolts

  • Place vehicle in neutral.
  • Release parking brake.
  • Raise and support vehicle and support it with safety stands in proper locations.
  • Remove engine undercover retainers.
  • Place reference mark on driveline and transfer flange. Paint is recommended for match marks. Never damage rear driveline shaft differential flange.
  • Remove bolts, nuts, and washers from differential flange.
  • Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
    • Torque wheel lug nuts to 97 ft. lbs.
