STARTER & ALTERNATOR REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR 2009 Cadillac Escalade AUTOMOBILES

Vehicle: 2009 Cadillac Escalade ESV 6.2 V8 FLEX
- Disconnect battery ground cable from battery.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove oil pan skid plate if equipped.
- Remove transmission cover bolt.
- Remove starter mounting bolts.
- Disconnect engine wiring harness electrical connector from oil level sensor. Avoid cable and wiring damage. DO NOT suspend starter by cables or wires attached to solenoid terminals. Use a rope or mechanics wire to suspend starter.
- Slide starter forward until starter clears transmission and properly support starter.
- Lower vehicle half way.
- Remove right front wheel and tire.
