Relearn Procedures -> Tire Pressure Sensor Initiation -> TPMS Receiver

Tire Pressure Sensor Initiation
- Using Hyundai TPMS exciter tool, or equivalent, read the four tire pressure sensor IDs starting with sensor 1 the LH front wheel.
- Read the remaining sensors in the following order:
- Sensor 2, RH front wheel.
- Sensor 3, LH rear wheel.
- Sensor 4, RH rear wheel.
- Connect the Hyundai exciter tool, or equivalent, to the DLC (Data Link Connector) located under the LH side of the instrument panel.
- Using the tool, register the four sensor IDs to the TPMS receiver.
- Disconnect the tool from the DLC.

Removal
- Loosen the wheel lug nuts.
- Raise and support the vehicle with jack stands.
- Remove tire and wheel assembly from vehicle.
- Deflate air from tire assembly, then remove wheel weights.
- Break tire bead 180° from valve stem. When removing tire from rim caution should be taken not to hit valve stem with tire tools.
- While supporting the sensor, remove the valve nut, Fig. . Use caution when handling sensor.
Installation
- Remove the seal from sensor. Use care to not damage the valve thread.
