The TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitor System) is designed to monitor the tire inflation air pressure and to alert the driver when the pressure in one or more tires falls below a specified pressure. The system consists of a TPMS module, a RF (Radio Frequency) antenna, 4 initiators and 4 or 5 tire pressure sensors depending on spare wheel type. - Loosen the wheel lug nuts.
- Raise and support the vehicle with jack stands, then remove the wheel and tire assembly.
- Remove the tire valve cap and core and release the air from the tire.
