- Remove wheel nuts and front wheels.
- Unstake front axle hub using suitable tool. Release staked part of nut completely or threads of driveshaft may be damaged.
- Remove split pin and driveshaft castle nut and washer from front hub.
- Apply brake and remove axle hub nut.
- Disconnect speed sensor harness clip and separate sensor wire and hose from shock absorber. Do not damage speed sensor when disconnecting.

If installing a replacement tire pressure sensor and transmitter, note the identification number for use during registration. Refer to the Registration under the "Relearn Procedures."
Removal
- Loosen the wheel lug nuts.
- Raise and support vehicle with jack stands.
- Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
- Remove the tire valve stem cap, then the valve stem core and allow the tire to deflate, Fig. .
- Remove the nut retaining the tire pressure sensor and transmitter to the wheel assembly, then drop the transmitter inside the tire.
