DESCRIPTION
The coolant fan is controlled by the coolant fan relay. The coolant fan relay is electrically operated by the ECM. The ECM receives input signals from the coolant temperature sensor, the vehicle speed sensor and the A/C mode selector. The ECM activates the coolant fan relay when the engine coolant, which is sensed by the coolant temperature sensor, is above 227°F, when the A/C is turned on or when the coolant temperature sensor fails. IGNITION ENABLE
The ignition enable input receives battery voltage whenever the ignition switch is in the RUN position. Upon receiving an ignition enable input, the EBCM begins its self-checks.
CRANK SENSE
A crank sense input is provide to the EBCM which goes high (12 volts), when the ignition switch is moved to the START position. When the crank sense input is high, the EBCM commands itself, internally, to shut off until engine start is completed.
BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH
