DESCRIPTION
This valve assemblyFig. , is comprised of a warning switch, proportioning valve, and a hold-off valve.
The warning switch detects system failure when a pressure difference occurs between the front and rear brake systems. In such a case, the valve piston shuttles toward the side with the low pressure, forcing the switch plunger upward over the piston's tapered shoulder. - Raise and support vehicle, then remove front wheel.
- Disconnect lower arm ball joint and knuckle coupling, then remove strut bar and stabilizer bar from lower arm.
- Lefthand driveshaft only, remove center bearing snap ring from bearing bracket.
- Lightly tap double offset joint outer race with a wooden hammer and disconnect drive axle from cardan joint assembly.
