FRONT WHEEL SENSOR, REPLACE
- Raise and support vehicle, then turn wheel outward to gain access to sensor.
- Remove tie straps from sensor wiring from steering knuckle and brake hose.
- Clean dirt and road splash from sensor and surrounding area. This is necessary to avoid sensor damage when removing.
- Remove bolt attaching sensor to steering knuckle, then the sensor, Fig. .
- Unseat grommet retaining sensor wire in wheelwell.
- From inside the engine compartment, disconnect sensor wire connector from anti-lock harness plug. Remove sensor and wire.

Grand Wagoneer & J-Series Truck
- Drain and discard 2/3 of brake fluid from master cylinder front reservoir.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove front wheel and tire assemblies.
- Press caliper piston to bottom of bore using suitable screwdriver or C-clamp.
- Remove caliper mounting bolts.
- Remove caliper by lifting upward and out of shield and support.
- Disconnect brake hose at caliper.
CJ-7, Cherokee, Comanche, Scrambler, Wagoneer & Wrangler
- Remove and discard 2/3 of brake fluid from largest master cylinder reservoir.
- Raise and support vehicle.
