The Rear Wheel Anti-Lock (RWAL) system operation is controlled by the rear hydraulic brake line pressure which is regulated by a pressure limit valve. The pressure limit valve is located under the master cylinder and consists of two valves. Pads, Replace
- Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheels.
- Remove caliper pin bolts, then release parking brake lever.
- Remove caliper from caliper carrier. Hang removed caliper with wire hook to prevent damage to brake hose.
- Remove pads.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Using tool shown in Fig. , Turn caliper piston clockwise to obtain clearance between disc and pad.
- Torque caliper pin bolts to specifications.
- Once job has been completed, depress brake pedal five times to obtain proper disc to pad clearance.
