- Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheels.
- Remove caliper pin bolts, then release parking brake lever.
- Remove caliper from caliper carrier. Hang removed caliper with wire hook to prevent damage to brake hose.
- Remove pads.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Using tool shown in Fig. , Turn caliper piston clockwise to obtain clearance between disc and pad.
- Torque caliper pin bolts to specifications.
- Once job has been completed, depress brake pedal five times to obtain proper disc to pad clearance.

Fuel System Pressure Relief
- Loosen the fuel filler cap to relieve fuel tank pressure.
- Remove the fuel pump relay/fuse from relay or fuse box located in engine compartment.
- Start the engine and allow to stall. Crank the engine for several seconds more to ensure relief of any remaining fuel pressure.
- Disconnect the battery ground cable.
- Install the fuel pump relay/fuse.

- Remove axle shaft drive flange.
- Remove circlip and front spindle thrust washer.
- Remove drive shaft flange bolts and nuts.
- Place a suitable container under differential to catch fluid drips.
- Remove drive shaft assembly from left drive shaft case. To prevent breakage of boots (wheel side and differential side), do not contact them with other parts when removing drive shaft assembly.
- Remove drive shaft oil seal. Do not damage drive shaft joint and boot.
