PADS, REPLACE
- Raise and support rear of vehicle, then remove tire and wheel assembly.
- Remove caliper attaching bolts, then the caliper, Figs. and . Do not allow caliper to hang unsupported or damage to the brake hose may occur.
- Remove pads and anti-squeal shim(s).
- Remove anti-rattle springs, pad guide plates and support plate.
- Reverse procedure to install. Torque caliper attaching bolts to 14 ft. lbs.

- Raise and support rear of vehicle, then remove tire and wheel assembly.

- Obtain the vehicle owners radio theft protection code prior to disconnecting the battery ground cable, if equipped.
- Disconnect the battery ground cable.
- Remove the fuel fill cap to release fuel tank pressure.
- Place a shop towel over the union bolt at top of fuel filter. Slowly loosen the union bolt allowing fuel pressure to bleed down.
- Whenever the union bolt is loosened to relieve fuel system pressure, always replace the bolt gasket.

- Raise and support vehicle, then remove front wheels as necessary and front fender apron seal.
- Remove cotter pin, locknut cap and locknut from axle spline.
- Drain transmission fluid, then using a suitable puller, disconnect tie rod end from steering knuckle.
- Disconnect stabilizer bar link from lower control arm.
- Disconnect ball joint from steering knuckle.
- To separate LH driveshaft from transmission, gently pry shaft out of transaxle with suitable tool, then remove snap ring from splined end of side gear shaft.
